I’m currently putting together my first e-book entitled

Trade Detective
Finding Profitable Trades Under Any Market Conditions

The Concept

Unless you’re a completely novice trader, I’d bet you’ve spent countless hours reading books, blogs, and newspapers, as well as spent hours watching CNBC or other financial news stations, trying to educate yourself and become a better investor. Do me a favor and take moment to ask yourself this question:

Out of the hundreds of hours I’ve spent educating myself about investing, how much of that education has lead to better stock picks and more profitable trades?

My guess is the percentage is fairly low, and that the lessons you’ve learned best have come from your own experience, whether in success or through failure.

I’d also venture to say that at some point you’ve been frustrated after someone gave you some great trading advice or stock tips, only to get stuck being unable to find and execute trades using that advice. This scenario is the inspiration that pushed me to write this ebook, even though in reality, I’m not a great wordsmith.

Every bit of information in this ebook will will be actionable, and support my DFT concept. DFT stands for:

Determine the Trend
Find Appropriate Stocks
Time your trades

DFT is a top down approach to trading, and can be adjusted to be successful under any market conditions.

The Contest

In order to make the book more robust and well rounded, I thought it would be a great idea to include content from some of the excellent traders who frequent this and other blogs.

I am looking for 1 complete trading strategy, including market trend analysis, stock screens, and technical tools for analyzing individual trades for each market trend: Up, Sideways, and Down.

I will chose 1 winner for each market condition to include their strategy within the book, complimenting the strategies that I’ve already included.

The reward -

In my opinion, great work deserves great compensation, so I’ve designed the follow compensation plan which I think should excite you. Each will receive:

75% of the proceeds from any book sale by them or their affiliates.
2% of the proceeds from sales from RecordPriceBreakout.com

In addition, I will be creating a recommended resources page that will be linked to within the ebook. The resources page give people the option of going straight to the source in order to purchase resources, or to click on an affiliate link. The page will make it clear that clicking on the affiliate link provides income to the authors of the ebook. I will be sharing 3% of the proceeds of all affiliate sales to each winner.

The Time Frame

I have just begun writting the book, and expect it will take 3 - 4 months to complete. Therefore, the content will begin September 1st, and will continue until the end of October. Winners will be chosen November 15th, 2008. I expect to have the art design, sales web page, and affiliate links completed by the January 15th, and to start sales before the end of January.
